Infiniti Music introduces all-male band

-

What do punks know about love? Surprisingly a lot! It's hard to imagine six young (as they claim to be) men, with long orange hair and blond highlights, crooning about the L-word. But when Icebox does it then you have the proverbial twist in every straight-laced story.

Good music is their game. And Infiniti Music knows that. Last April 7, the six old-time friends together with their manager Artie Cajefe met Infiniti Music's luminaries Joel Jimenez, CEO, Rene Calvento, General Manager, and Mitch Bruselas, Division Manager signed a contract with the company.

The big boys, collectively known as Icebox are Rommel Reyes, Edward Cuizon, Dennis Briones, Gani Valenzuela, Roland Roque, Willy Gonzales.

Icebox has made the rounds of Galo's Bar, Fat Tuesday, Soundstage, Virgin Café, Bud Boys, Mondo, and The Fort since the band formally came together last year. Coming from different bands, these musicians have an eclectic background ranging from reggae, pop, rock, jazz, R&B, soul, retro. In their debut album E-Love they decided to shed some light on their "romantic" side and sing happy, hopeful and funny love songs instead.

Most of the songs were written by the members during their heyday in love, and they say that was quite a long time ago. In fact, their carrier single Edna is about a girl who was once intimately involved with one of the members.

Icebox performs at Lite n Live on Mondays, at Central Park on Tuesdays, at Fat Tuesday on Wednesdays, at Streetlife on Thursdays, at Formula Sports Café on Fridays, and at Tibayan Café on Saturdays.
