Sony Ericsson promotes 'Android Love' in Xperia price-off

MANILA, Philippines - Sony Ericsson is giving Android lovers a much-awaited price-off for their premium line of Xperia smartphones. 

Buyers can get the Xperia X10 with as much as P7,510 off its regular price. The X10 mini pro will have P4,000 off and the X8 P1,600 off their regular prices.

The Xperia X10 was the first to feature Timescape, where the Infinite button lets users access all mobile communications with one person in one place, whether it’s e-mail, SMS messages, photos, Twitter, and Facebook updates. 

The X10 also has an 8.1-megapixel camera with 16x digital zoom and a clever face recognition feature that recognizes and tags up to five faces per photo. The image is then automatically filed in date order under each friend’s name. 

Photos can be uploaded directly to social networking sites, or simply click on a friend’s face to start communicating with them.

The Xperia X10 mini pro with a slide-out QWERTY keypad features a 2.55-inch, scratch-resistant TFT touch screen supporting over 16 million colors. 

The five-megapixel camera for stills and video comes with auto focus, geo tagging, and photo and video light. 

The X10 mini pro was also specifically designed for a smaller form factor with a one-hand touch experience. Users can also quickly access their favorite applications through a customizable four-corner user interface.

Like the Xperia X10 mini pro, the Xperia X8 offers access to favorite applications through a four-corner user interface. 

The smartphone was designed with a unique gradient coloring scheme that will appeal to the creative user. 

The X8 also has the Sony Ericsson signature application Timescape, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, and three-inch touch screen, and enjoys a virtual universe of applications from the Android Market.

With February tagged as the Android Love Month, Sony Ericsson is bringing more of the Android experience to more people. Sale prices are applicable in Sony Ericsson Experience Shops and authorized dealers until Feb. 28.
