Nissan unveils new Grand Livina Highway Star

MANILA, Philippines - The summer season may be over, but the streets are just starting to heat up as Nissan Motor Philippines, Inc. (NMPI) announced that the Grand Livina Highway Star will be available at all Nissan dealerships nationwide starting this weekend.

Now made even more stylish, the Grand Livina Highway Star carries performance parts by Autech Japan, a group under the umbrella of Nissan Motor Ltd. that is famous for its various customized vehicle. This is the same group that teams up with NISMO for some of its racing cars.

The Grand Livina Highway Star is NMPI’s offering for those who long for a trendy and stylish sedan, but at the same time needs the space and accommodations of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

As the perfect urban car, the Grand Livina Highway Star comes built with a more aggressive exterior featuring a chrome grille with horizontal elements and bumper fascia with integrated air splitters. It now sports side mirror cover with LED turning lamps, foglamp chrome garnish, OEM side skirt, rear skirt and roof spoiler. Top that off with 15” polished alloy wheels with gunmetal accents, and you’re ready to turn the city streets into your own virtual playground.

Sporty and modern, the Grand Livina Highway Star lets you roam the streets seamlessly as it still provides the same dynamic handling and performance without compromising functionality and flexibility.

It is fitted with Nissan’s new-generation gasoline engine, the MR18DE 1.8-liter fuel-injected powerplant producing 126 ps at 5,200 rpm and 17.9 kg-m of torque at 4,800 rpm.

The engine’s CVTC (continuously variable valve-timing control) keeps fuel economy at its peak while producing power and optimal acceleration. Ride stability and comfort are delivered by the MacPherson struts up front with a torsion beam rear axle which uses ripple shock absorbers. What’s more, this stylish urban ride is packed with safety features including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), zone body construction and supplemental system airbags.

The new Nissan Grand Livina Highway Star retails for P928,000 for the Luxury edition and P1.008 million for the Elegance edition.
