The secret is out!

Honoring the leaders of Manila’s dining scene, an Oscar-inspired culinary event was recently held to crown the finest restaurants during the recent First Annual Manila’s Best Kept Restaurant Secrets Awards (MBKRS) held at the Enderun Colleges grounds in Fort Bonifacio through the hospitality of lead founder Jack Tuason. Hosted by authors Ines Cabarrus and Elian Habayeb together with a star-studded line of presenters, the restaurant industry awards event proudly announced the 22 award category winners. Among the 2008 MBKRS awardees were Dusit Thani Manila’s Benjarong with the Best Hotel Restaurant – Specialty award and Mandarin Oriental’s Tivoli tied up Intercontinental’s Prince Albert for the Best Hotel Restaurant – Fine Dining award. The award for Best Chef went to Lolo Dad’s Ariel Manuel while the Lifetime Achievement award was given to the late great Larry Cruz, a pioneer in theme restaurants. Congratulations!
