HMO sets customized product

-
Cocolife recently offered to the public a new service through its cocolife healthcare program. The program aims to make modern health facilities available to larger segments of the population without sacrificing value for money through reasonable and affordable packages.

"Premium Service is what we offer to all Cocolife healthcare policyholders" Mel Maagma, head of the Health Care department said. He hopes to achieve this through a number of value-added features unique only to Cocolife Healthcare program.

Maagma added that a unique feature of the new program is the customization of its services.

While most healthcare programs offer standardized rates and health benefits, Cocolife provides an alternative.

"Cocolife healthcare customizes its services and benefits according to the needs and financial capability of its planholders. Clients have individual and distinct needs, so product design should meet those needs," he added.

A value-added feature of the product is its streamlined operation and administration. Policyholders are assured of a fast and efficient service from its network of service providers – accredited hospitals, clinics and doctors – thus ensuring that Cocolife planholders are given preferential attention. It makes sure that its network of service providers are well taken care of, thus ensuring planholders of immediate attention especially in cases of an emergency.

Another distinct advantage of the program is that it is the only health management organization (HMO) in the industry to be accredited and regulated by the Insurance Commission. This assures the policyholders of a settlement should a controversy arise between a policyholder and the service provider.

These reasons, together with Cocolife’s unwavering service to its policyholders, is probably why it continues to attract corporate accounts.

"Cocolife Healthcare will soon be the healthcare program of choice by companies who truly intend to provide a more responsive healthcare program to their employees," Maagma predicted.

To date, Cocolife HealthCare services more than 100,000 members nationwide belonging to more than 200 corporate accounts posting P161-million premium income in 2000. It has over 250 accredited hospitals, over 100 clinics and about 3,000 doctors nationwide.
