MANILA, Philippines — Robinsons Land Corp.’s Robinsons Logistix and Industrials Inc. (RLX) is mapping out an expansion push to support the demand for reliable and strategically located logistics facilities in the country.

RLX general manager Cora Ang Ley told The STAR that the company would continue expanding its network of facilities in strategic locations across the country this year and in the coming years.

She said the company, in particular, is looking at opportunities for both large-format developments and built-to-suit facilities that address the specific needs of its tenants.

“Ultimately, our focus is on growing responsibly, expanding in the right locations and continuing to build facilities that create long-term value for our tenants, our partners and the communities we serve,” Ang Ley said.

RLX, which serves as the logistics and industrial facilities arm of RLC, has built one of the country’s fastest-growing networks of logistics facilities over the years, serving some of the Philippines’ leading companies across a wide range of industries.

One of the company’s key projects is the new FedEx logistics facility in Clark, which further strengthens its presence in one of the country’s most important logistics and transportation hubs.

Ang Ley said the project reflects the kind of developments which RLX wants to pursue – well-located and future-ready facilities that support economic growth and enable businesses to operate more efficiently.

In line with its role of providing the infrastructure that enables businesses to move, store and distribute goods efficiently, RLX develops Grade A logistics facilities in key growth corridors across the country which help businesses strengthen their supply chains and stay closer to their customers.

With logistics becoming an essential part of how businesses operate and as companies grow and customer expectations continue to evolve, Ang Ley said the need for reliable and strategically located logistics facilities has never been greater.

Ang Ley said said that one of the biggest trends at present is the continued growth of e-commerce and omnichannel retail.

She said businesses need distribution networks that can respond faster to customer demand, which is increasing the need for modern warehouses and fulfillment facilities.

Further, greater demand for strategically located modern hubs are seen, with companies wanting facilities that allow them to reduce transport time, improve efficiency and bring products closer to where their customers are.

“At RLX, we’re responding by expanding our presence in key growth areas and developing Grade A logistics facilities that can adapt to different operational requirements. Some tenants need ready-built warehouses, while others require customized, built-to-suit solutions. Our focus is on providing flexibility because logistics is not a one-size-fits-all business,” Ang Ley said.

“As supply chains continue to evolve, we believe demand for high-quality, well-located logistics infrastructure will continue to grow, and we’re positioning RLX to help meet that need,” she said.
