MANILA, Philippines — DFNN Inc. is bolstering its management team with the addition of technology experts, as well as the reshuffling of top executives in a move to further expand its leadership in the various domestic and international markets.

DFNN said its board has approved the lateral movement in designation and appointment of current president and chief executive officer Calvin Lim as executive operating director.

DFNN’s chief operating officer Ricardo Banaag, meanwhile, was promoted as the company’s new president, CEO, and director.

“I thank the distinguished board of directors for the trust and confidence. I am honored to have this opportunity to lead Team DFNN to a sustained growth trajectory across its core and emerging lines of business,” said Banaag, who served as president and country manager for Intel Microelectronics Philippines Inc. for over 16 years prior to joining DFNN.

DFNN’s board has likewise appointed as chief information officer Donald Limcaco, who will also serve as chief operating officer of several DFNN operating subsidiaries.

“As the incoming CIO and COO of various subsidiaries, there is recognition that the traditional roles have transformed to bring synergies from technology coupled with operational excellence,” said Limcaco, who has over 30 years of experience in management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, program and portfolio management for Fortune 500 organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia.

“I look forward to strengthening client relationships, establishing credibility with our shareholders, and driving impactful business outcomes,” he said.

Also named as vice president for market was Jacob Edel, who helped start Betway.com as a country manager.

Prior to these appointments, DFNN’s board has also designated Mark Allan de Ungria as chief revenue officer and Francis Formalejo chief technology officer Francis Formalejo to strengthening its management team.

“With the leadership and experience of Mr. Banaag in the technology sector, Mr. Limcaco’s depth of knowledge in strategic financial and operations management as well as Mr. Edel’s global marketing expertise, the DFNN Group is well poised to expand its cutting-edge technology leadership in the various domestic and international markets it serves,” the company said.

DFNN said the expansion of its management is in line with its growth strategy to allow its non-IT gaming related projects to expand revenue stream.
