First Asterra project to rise in Gen Trias

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Real estate tycoon and Vista Land founder and chairman Manuel Villar will put up his first personal project, the Asterra brand of affordable residential condominiums, in Gen. Trias in Cavite.

Asterra aims to provide affordable urban living in the suburbs through residential mid-rise buildings. Designed to serve as idyllic domiciles for young professionals and starting families, these condo developments are set to rise in select locales that tout rapid appreciation of land values.

In the Philippines, the suburbs refer to towns and cities just outside the metropolis, whose proximity to the country’s finance and business centers defines them as “economically progressive.”

Gen. Trias a first class component city in Cavite, a province now viewed as an appendage of Mega Manila and as a hotspot for many of the capitol’s workers, students and settlers. Asterra in Gen. Trias will offer its future homeowners sleek modern living amid suburban environments that provide naturally beautiful landscapes and verdant green spaces.

“We will be close enough to the metro for convenience, but sufficiently distanced from its noise and pollution. Our residents will definitely enjoy better health and well-being in Asterra,” Asterra division head Debbie Eria said.

To date, Asterra has properties in the Greater Manila area’s real estate hotspots such as Cavite and Laguna. New developments will likewise rise in myriad other locations that include Pampanga, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro and Butuan.
