Megaworld expands residential footprint in Pasig

Iris Gonzales - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Andrew Tan-led Megaworld has expanded its residential footprint in Pasig with the launch of its third residential condominium inside its 12.3-hectare Arcovia City along C-5 Road in Pasig City.

Arcovia Parkplace, a 50-story residential development, is set for completion in 2029 and is expected to generate around P5.2 billion in sales for the company.

Francis Viernes, head of data analytics of Megaworld, said Arcovia City is envisioned as a smart township, consistent with the company’s goal of making future-ready cities.

Megaworld is rolling out in Arcovia the Township Analytics and Technology (TAT) through its own TAT Lab, the first data science lab dedicated to a property development company in Asia.

The purpose of the Megaworld TAT Lab is to develop, deploy, and improve machine learning models through the use of artificial intelligence in order to strengthen the safety and security of Megaworld townships.

“For quite some time, developers like us are racing toward the creation of smart cities and our Megaworld TAT Lab will be able to bring us to our vision of making truly ‘smart townships’ especially in the field of safety and security. We will announce more details about this big project soon,” said Viernes, head of data analytics at Megaworld.

For Arcovia, the company will offer 494 units in different cuts and sizes. At 50-stories high, it will be the tallest residential tower in the township.

This new residential tower’s amenities include pools, garden, lounges, function halls and working spaces.

Furthermore, the tower will also have green and sustainability features that include occupancy sensors for hallway lighting, low flow rate fixtures for faucets in toilets and bathrooms, high energy efficiency rating for the major building equipment, rainwater harvesting and reuse facility, and its own material recovery facility.

Aside from Arcovia and its existing townships, Megaworld had planned to launch 14 new residential and commercial lot projects with a total sales value of P30 billion this year.

These new projects are in Maple Grove and Arden Botanical Estate in Cavite; Eastland Heights in Rizal; The Hamptons Caliraya in Laguna; The Upper East in Bacolod; Iloilo Business Park in Iloilo City; Capital Town in Pampanga; McKinley West in Taguig City; Alabang West in Las Piñas City; Arcovia City in Pasig City; Paragua Coastown in Palawan; Northwin Global City in Bulacan; and another one in Makati City.
