Best practices in facilities, maintenance management

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A well-maintained property can enhance the “rent-ability” and “buy-ability” of your assets. Conversely, you become a victim of expensive repairs due to poor maintenance of your facilities and buildings.

To help property owners, building administrators and managers on this, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a two-day special training titled, Best Practices in Facilities and Maintenance Management March 11 and 12, 2020 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City, Philippines.

The lecture is a presentation of the best practices on this topic that is applicable across different industries including manufacturing, hospitality, BPO centers, schools, real estate property development including malls, condominiums, subdivisions, industrial estates, multi-functional buildings, and complexes regardless of its type, size and existing condition.  Attendees will learn all the best practices in world-class integrated facilities maintenance and management to help developers, building owners, property administrators, village/ condominium managers and heads of engineering to optimize operational efficiency in the maintenance and management of their buildings and facilities, reduce disruptions and costs, and improve compliance to pertinent codes, standards and regulatory statutes. This training is also recommended for building planners, engineers, and architects who often neglect incorporating facility management in their design of buildings and other spaces for its intended purpose.

Listen and learn from internationally renowned book author on the topic, Engr. Efren Mañez, who will share his over 40 years of best practices experiences. His expertise and work engagements has brought him to many different parts of Southeast Asia and Dubai. Among his successful professional maintenance and construction project applications include landmarks and prominent structures such as the Brunei Grand Sultanate Palaces and its several VVIP Housings, Marco Polo Luxury Hotel, mixed-use commercial and BPO buildings, high-end office condominiums / condotels, cultural center edifice and the nationwide bank branches and assets. He also spearheaded the maintenance of the Unocal 76 or Chevron’s (Mak-Ban and Tiwi) geothermal-electric power generation assets.

This program is for those who want to cut the costs of faulty maintenance management. Registration is open to the general public. CGBP is accredited by the Civil Service Commission. Attendees from the government can earn points for their career advancement and is exempted from the P2,000 limit when attending training conducted by the private sector based on DBM Circular 563 dated April 22, 2016.
