MANILA, Philippines - Gotianun-led property firm Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) is working on doubling its portfolio of retail space over the next five years.

FLI currently has 60 hectares or 600,000 square meters (sqm) of office space and shopping malls spread out across the country.

“After five decades, we continue to build more dreams while expanding our diverse portfolio to include townscapes, offices and retail spaces,” FLI senior vice president Francis Ceballos said.

He noted majority of FLI projects in the pipeline for 2015 were already launched.

“Most of the ones that we intend to put in the market are the ones we will pursue development of in the remainder of the year,” he added.

Following the 15 percent rise in net income for the first semester, FLI said there is continued healthy take-up in all of its business.

“From all indications in all segments, we are experiencing significant and healthy growth for this year compared to 2014,” he added.

Furthermore, FLI recently launched its ‘I Own My Dream’ advocacy that aims to empower Filipinos to work harder to achieve their dreams, with actor Richard Yap as its newest ambassador.

FLI’s residential developments are now in around 45 cities and 18 provinces including Quezon City, Pasig, Valenzuela, North Luzon and Rizal and cut across the firm’s brand categories including the affordable Futura Homes, aspirational Filinvest brand and the upscale Filinvest Premiere line.
