Caltex, Robinsons launch rewards program
MANILA, Philippines - Petroleum company Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), owner of the Caltex brand, has partnered with Gokongwei-owned Robinsons Holdings, Inc., a multi-formal retailer in the country.
In a recent launching ceremony, officials said Robinsons Rewards Card (RRC) members are entitled to earn points and other perks when they fuel up at Caltex stations nationwide.
“This partnership allows us to uniquely reward thousands of motorists and shoppers for their loyalty to Caltex and Robinsons,” said Chevron country chairman Peter Morris.
As such, RRC members would be able to use their points to redeem P1 discount for every one-liter fuel purchase at participating Caltex stations nationwide.
Morris said purchasing five liters of gas earns a member a point.
“This means that the more customers fuel up at Caltex and shop at Robinsons, the more points for fuel and shopping savings,” said Morris.
Morris said Chevron chose to partner with Robinsons because of its wide array of products offered to its customers.
He said Chevron and Robinsons share the value of reliability and trustworthiness of products that are offered nationwide.
“So we are a match,” Morris said.
Robina Gokongwei-Pe, president and chief operating officer of Robinsons Holdings, said RRC members could enjoy big discounts from their shopping purchases through the points they earn at Caltex stations.
“We at Robinsons Retail are always looking for new ways to delight our customers and give them a better customer experience. That is why we are very happy to partner with Chevron,” Pe said.
“Caltex has been in the Philippines for over 75 years. Throughout this time, the Caltex brand has remained relevant to Filipino motorists because we are able to support their changing lifestyles and needs,” Morris said.
Prior to this partnership, Chevron also partnered with Jollibee Food Corporation’s Happyplus program, which is still running and would be implemented alongside the RRC loyalty program.
