Global energy players to exhibit in PowerTrends 2011

MANILA, Philippines - Global energy players will exhibit at PowerTrends 2011 their solutions for industrial, commercial and business users of energy who are choosing competitive energy supplies, technologies and infrastructures even as they operate amid changing scenarios shaped by Middle East upheavals, climate change and economic developments.

PowerTrends is the biennial gathering of energy executives this Sept. 28 to 30 at the SMX Convention Center. The Department of Energy, National Power Corp., and other government agencies and industry associations support PowerTrends.

 Hydrochina, the giant state-owned enterprise from China is a major participant in the exhibition. The company specializes in technical services for hydropower, water resource development, wind power and solar power. It is supervised under the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of China.

 Another major exhibitor is Shell Philippines Exploration B.V., operator of the $2-billion Malampaya natural gas development project. It has extensive global experience in deep water oil and gas exploration and production.

Alstom, another major participant in PowerTrends 2011, is a global leader in the world of power generation and transmission. It sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies for coal, nuclear, gas, hydro, wind and solar.

Another major exhibitor is Formosa Heavy Industries, a subsidiary of the conglomerate Plastics Group. This company is a leading independent power producer. It has built up a reputation for boiler equipment and power plant projects on turnkey basis.

A German National Pavilion will display renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Conergy, a German solar energy system manufacturer will be showcasing an efficient and synchronized solar energy system for private or commercial rooftops and multi-megawatt parks. Conergy is one of the most successful companies in the Asia and Middle East region, having major projects in South Korea, India, Thailand and Saudi Arabia. Since 1998, it has produced and sold more than 1.5GW of clean solar energy.

Also in the German pavilion, batteries for stationary installations and for solar energy systems will be displayed by BAE Battentien GmbH. Nordex Asia will display wind turbines ranging from 1.5 MW to 2.5 MW and all classes of wind and related equipmet for turbine supply. Safe and sustainable packing for solar modules will be displayed by Eckpack Service GmbH & Co. KG.

Andritz Hydro Inc., part of the Andritz group headquartered in Austria, will feature electro-mechanical equipment for hydroelectric plants, water-to-wire concept for hydropower generation, ocean tidal/marine current turbines, hydromatrix turbines and EcoBulb turbines. The company has more than 170 years of experience and expertise in hydraulic power generation, a global supplier of turnkey electromechanical equipment and services for hydro power.

Other exhibits include power transformers, coils, inductors, steam and gas turbine parts, electro-mechanical equipment for hydroelectric plants, ocean tidal/marine current turbines, hydromatic turbines, EcoBulb turbines, all kinds of meters, insulators, electric power fittings, cable accessories, all kinds of solar panels - mono solar, poly solar, on-grid solar, off-grid solar, solar lawn and street lights and many others.
