Cebu Pacific bats for alternative jump-off points to Boracay

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific (CEB) passengers can take other routes such as Cebu, Iloilo and Roxas in going to Bocaray and enjoy the diversion as well.

Currently, CEB flies eight times daily from Manila to Caticlan. This will rise to 11 daily flights starting on March 28 as CEB raises its capacity to and from Godofredo P. Ramos airport, the nearest gateway to Boracay.

Aside from direct flights from Manila to Boracay (Caticlan), passengers can explore alternative CEB destinations for lower fares. These are Iloilo, Roxas, Kalibo and Boracay (Caticlan) via Cebu.

CEB flies to Iloilo six times daily from Manila and thrice daily from Cebu, with the lowest possible year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare of P888 and P788, respectively. It takes approximately five hours by bus from Iloilo to the Caticlan jetty port.

CEB flies nine times weekly from Manila to Roxas, with the lowest possible year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare at P1,188. Land travel from Roxas to Caticlan takes approximately two hours.

Meanwhile, CEB’s 13 times weekly Kalibo flights offer more seats with its Airbus capacity. The lowest year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare for this route is P1,088. Travel time from Kalibo is approximately two hours to Caticlan.

A side trip to Cebu from Manila en route to Boracay (Caticlan) is another option, with CEB having 11 weekly Cebu-Boracay (Caticlan) flights at P1,188.

Passengers with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

“We are encouraging our passengers to try different routes and flight schedules to Boracay, and have fun along the way. It could also result in great travel deals,” said CEB vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

Gokongwei-owned CEB flies to 33 domestic and 14 international destinations, using the youngest aircraft fleet in the country.
