Pacquiao-Thurman rakes in $6.2M in ticket sales
MANILA, Philippines — The slugfest between Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman made big money on ticket sales.
According to a report by Boxingscene.com, the card headlined by Pacquiao and Thurman at the MGM Grand Garden Arena last Saturday in Las Vegas (Sunday, Manila time) sold 11,436 tickets.
Organizers also issued 1,675 complimentary tickets.
The bout produced $6,260,275 at the box office, a figure just above the revenue of Pacquiao's last fight.
In comparison, Pacquiao's bout against Adrien Broner last January produced $6,000,032 in ticket sales.
Meawhile, the Filipino icon's fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2015 generated a record $72,198,500 in revenue.
