Report: Cavs, Wolves agree on Love deal
MANILA, Philippines – After months of speculations, Kevin Love will be packing his bags for Cleveland to join LeBron James next season.
According to a report by Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Minnesota Timberwolves will receive 2014 No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins and 2013 NBA No. 1 pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first round draft pick from the Cavaliers in exchange for the All-Star forward.
The trade will not be official until August 23 because of a stipulation on Wiggins' contract that prohibits him from being traded 30 days after signing his rookie deal.
Love James and Kyrie Irving, will form another “Big 3” in the wide-open Eastern Conference that will surely catapult the Cavaliers to elite contender status.
A three-time All-Star, Love averaged a monstrous 26 points and 12.5 rebounds for Minnesota last season but has failed to lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs in his six-season tenure with the team.
