Cantada hosts women’s volley

MANILA, Philippines - The first MVP Sports Foundation National Women’s beach volleyball invitational starts today at the sand court of the Cantada Sports Center in Bagumbayan, Taguig.

Seeing action are top players Jovelyn Gonzaga and Nene Bautista of the Philippine Army, Alysa Valdes and Bea Tan of Ateneo; Carmina Aragon and Aleona Denise Santiago of National U-1; Alyja Daphne Santiago and Rizza Jane Mandapat (NU-2),  Joy Cases and Caballejo (Air Force), Micmic Laborte and Cecille Cruzada (Navy), Sheryl Jane Denila and Princess Anne Pido (Iloilo), Liezel Manatad and Josemer Tapic (Davao), Jonafer San Pedro of (RTU),  Sheila Marie Pineda and Amanda Villanueva (Adamson-2).

 The event is supported by the MVP Sports Foundation, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Toyota Balintawak, Toyota Otis, Toyota Marilao, Philippine Flour Mill, Puyat Steel, Tanduay Rhum, Nagaraya Nuts, Maynilad Water and sports benefactors Gilberto Duavit and Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr. Wilson is the official tournament ball.
