Paras snatches expert crown on Millet ouster

MANILA, Philippines - Jeward Paras of H3 Autoworks pounced on the early ouster of defending champion Arvin Millet to capture the crown in the expert division in the third leg of the Petronas Philippine Drag Racing Championship-Northern Series at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga recently.

Paras beat Jefferson dela Cruz, who foiled Millet in the first round, in the double breakout final duel in the event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).

Mike Daulog of The Source turned back Marvin Onrubia in their do-or-die encounter to claim third place in the event sponsored by Petronas, Yokohama, GT Radials, M&H Tires and backed by media partners Racing Beat at Wave 89.1 and Inside Motoring @DZRJ 810khz.

Other winners were Teddy de la Costa, who beat teammate Miguel Narciso and Prince Abreu of Kapshop for the Sportsman title, and Richard Gan, who bagged the GT Radial Hotstreet crown via a double-breakout victory over Paul Galban of Prospec and Cer Ollinis.
