Speedo supports Hong's Olympic dreams

MANILA, Philippines - Southeast Asian Games medalist Dorothy Grace Hong signed a deal with Speedo Philippines, making her member of the brand’s roster of elite athletes.

One of the country sports gems, Hong won three of the seven medals in swimming in last December’s biennial games.

Hong’s dream is to join the Olympics and with her discipline and dedication, Philippine Swimming Inc. is confident that she will achieve that very soon.

Being one of the country’s strong female swimmers in the Philippines, Dorothy is a strong candidate for the upcoming games in London. Part-Filipino, part-Chinese, the young swimmer is currently training in the US in preparation for the qualifying meets for the 2012 Olympics.

“Speedo Philippines is honored to have Dorothy on the team. She’s an athlete to watch,” brand sales and marketing manager Mayleen Valentino said.
