Pursue truth, justice, accountability vigorously

The sight of our kababayans wading up to waist- and shoulder-level in murky, contaminated water was heartbreaking, tormenting!

Houses, buildings were destroyed; farms, crops were washed out; livelihoods were disrupted/lost, bridges got broken; worse and most painful – lives were lost! 

And there are provinces, communities submerged for months even when there were no typhoons!

True, there’s climate change, because Mother Earth was destroyed, big time. However, if only the flood control projects were done properly, not substandard or worse, not done at all – despite the allocated trillions – the massive destruction would have been minimized, mitigated! 

The Filipinos rightfully demand an end to the massive stealing of their taxes – NOW NA! That immediate, preventable actions be undertaken so this will not ever happen again.         

It is unfathomable how those greedy/corrupt/conniving politicians, government officials, contractors could be conscienceless for such inhumane conditions they are responsible for. They are ruthlessly, unmerciful not to be haunted by the despicable, pitiful plight of our kababayans… sufferings that could have been prevented, or at least, minimized.

Our peso plummeted to its lowest, investors shied away thus, aggravating poverty and worsening economic and political conditions. 

We shall overcome when truth, justice, accountability have been pursued vigorously – and successfully.
