Peeping tom nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested after a woman caught him peeping into a bathroom where she was taking a bath on Thursday.

Barangay Horseshoe public safety officers apprehended Joehoney Paul Tumalon, 30, after the 30-year-old victim accused him of taking a video of her while taking a bath in a common bathroom in a house.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. The victim said she saw a hand holding a cell phone on top of the bathroom’s partition wall, which prompted her to cover herself.

The victim ran outside and sought the assistance of barangay watchmen.

Tumalon was apprehended in an adjacent bathroom. Seized from him was the cell phone he used in recording the victim.

The suspect was turned over to the Cubao police station for investigation.

He is facing charges of violating Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Law.
