MANILA, Philippines — Even with the plethora of sneakers flooding our Instagram feeds, sometimes, it’s still hard to find the perfect sneaker that caters to your specific tastes. How is it so hard to find a shoe that checks all the boxes of a modern sneaker? It’s gotta be sleek, technically advanced, and most of all, comfortable. Lucky for us, a Scandinavian brand is finally making the case for the perfect modern sneaker: ARKK Copenhagen.
Founded by Danish streetwear aficionados Kasper Høj Rasmussen and Thomas Refdahl in 2014, ARKK Copenhagen has been quietly taking over the sneaker world. The brand’s signature is its Nordic minimalism, homage to architecture, and innovative construction. Since its inception, the brand has reached over 37 countries, and this month, it’s finally arriving in the Philippines.
And what better than for SneakPeek to bring in ARKK Copenhagen to our shores. The brand was launched last Oct. 7 at the store’s Shangri-La Plaza branch, which featured its current lineup of sneakers, namely the Eaglezero, which features a sock-like entry point that optimizes breathability and comfort; The Spyqon, a stylized and sleek shoe that features a single-pieces FutureGrid upper; and the Pythron, a sneaker boot that draws inspiration from The Black Diamond library in Copenhagen. These three will get an update once ARKK Copenhagen’s fall/winter 2017 collection drops this holiday season at SneakPeek. Get ready to amp up your sneaker game.
