New faces at Holiday Inn Clark
MANILA, Philippines - Gaurav Rai has been named general manager of Holiday Inn Clark. Rai has managed a diverse mix of assignments including pre- openings, repositioning, refurbishments and restructuring of hotels. His extensive experience in a career that spans over 20 years across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East makes him a perfect fit for this new role.
Rai, who grew up in Sydney, looks forward to the new challenges ahead, especially with the support of the team at Holiday Inn Clark. “I am excited about my new role and look forward to experiencing the world renowned Filipino hospitality . It is always a privilege to work in a country where people at all levels are genuinely friendly and naturally hospitable. It’s an immense plea- sure to be part of the wonderful team of Holiday Inn Clark and I am inspired everyday by my colleagues,” he shares. Meanwhile, Ian Chambers takes over as executive chef of the 331- room hotel located at the Mimosa Leisure Estate in Clark Freeport, Pampanga.
Chambers will ensure that guests continue to enjoy great dining experience. “I hope to bring the guests’ dining experience to the next level by developing the uniqueness of food, service and ambiance with Holiday Inn Clark’s food and beverage outlets,” he said.
With more than 19 years in the hospitality industry across four countries, Chambers has worked in Michelin-rated restaurants, aboard a cruise ship and in various 5-star international hotel chains such as the Four Seasons Hotel and Hilton Hotels. His re- cent position in Qatar saw him in charge of seven restaurants and nine kitchens.
