The mystical tale of Pandora

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Pandora transformed the SM Mega Fashion Hall into a mystical and enchanted forest for the launch of its autumn/winter collection.

Playwright and stage director Floy Quintos, set and costume designer Gino Gonzalez and the Philippine Ballet Theater (PBT) depict Pandora’s design philosophy into that of a woman’s journey to self-discovery. After all, each of the pieces in Pandora’s new collection is thoughtfully designed to tell the modern tale of femininity. Crafted from sterling silver, 14k gold, colored enamel and sparkling cubic zirconia, the ultra-feminine rings, earrings, charms and pendants meld tradition with innovation.

“The heroine of our tale is a young lady named Pandora, a sheltered woman who sought to live her own adventures and find her place in the world,” theater actress Menchu Lauchengco Yulo says.

Pandora took the magical path into the woods to start her journey. Along the way, Pandora met interesting characters who helped create precious moments in her life — the charming prince, the golden leaves dancing in the night and the glittering blanket of stars above.

Each chapter of Pandora’s journey is represented by beautiful charms: the Shimmering Leaves, the Night Blue Crystal Set (cocktail ring, stud earrings and pendant) and the Dark Florals.

The ballet performance perfectly illustrated what Pandora stands for: a celebration of womanhood, and of creating a series of unforgettable moments in one’s life.

The venue was filled with Pandora enthusiasts who were welcomed by Lucerne’s president Ivan Yao and managing director Emerson Yao, Pandora Philippines sales and marketing manager Tricie Legarda, Pandora Asia-Pacific regional sales manager Katherine Chan, Pandora Singapore brand manager Teresa Tang and account executive Andy Chum.
