Good luck, good music at Heritage Hotel

-

MANILA, Philippines - It was a day of love and good luck at the Heritage Hotel Grand Ballroom when John Ford Coley, Grammy Award nominee and Crown Prince of Love Songs, brought romance to the Heritage Manila’s Year of the Golden Tiger celebration.

The Heritage Hotel as part of a Singaporean umbrella of hotels — the Millennium Hotels and Resorts, brought and popularized this unique ceremony in Philippine shores. Heritage Hotel general manager Eddie Yeo and his spouse Mary Yeo together with Cambodian Ambassador In May, Laos Ambassador Leuane Sombounkhan, Palau Ambassador Ramon Rechebei, Consul of Mongolia Antonio Rufino, and Visit/DFA director of protocol & state visit/DFA Antonio Rufino led the Lo Hei or “tossing up good fortune.”

Also seen raising their chopsticks with gusto for wishes of happiness and abundance in the Year of the Golden Tiger were airline mavens Malaysian Airlines area manager Mustapha Kamal, Singapore Airlines general manager Andrew Budiman, and Thai Airways general manager Nivat Chantarachoti along with Heritage Hotel resident manager Lawrence Wee, and director for sales and marketing Gigi Gaw.

Heritage marketing communications manager Mina Gervacio enlightened the audience on the symbolisms of the prosperity ceremony.

A fusion cuisine of East meets West dinner tickled the palate. Dessert consisted of luxe raffle prizes courtesy of Singapore Airlines, Just Cavalli watches from the newly opened Segnatempo Luxury Shop at the ground floor, Greenbelt 3, two nights vacation at the Boracay Terraces and an overnight stay at the Heritage Hotel’s executive suite.

Springing from the high energy and vibrant buzz, Manila’s favorite international balladeer John Ford Coley with guest performer Faith Cuneta rendered heart-melting melodies. John Ford Coley, Platinum and Gold record award-winning artist of the duo England Dan & John Ford Coley swept audiences off their feet with his hit songs Just Tell Me You Love Me, It’s Sad To Belong, Longer, Love Is The Answer, Gone Too Far, We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again, I’d Really Love To See You Tonight, Can We Still Be Friends, and What’s Forever For, and Nights are Forever without You.

Charming, warm and witty, John Ford Coley has performed with Billboard top hit- makers like Elton John, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Carole King, Bread, Loggins and Messina, Led Zeppelin, Carly Simon, Bill Cosby, Dave Mason, Steve Miller Band, Randy Bachman, Jesse Colin Young, Air Supply and Gordon Lightfoot, to name a few.

The concert was co-presented by Steve O’Neil Productions and JJS Entertainment.
