Water-resistant and HD Xperia Tablet Z

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The countdown to the highly-anticipated premium Sony Xperia Tablet Z is soon coming to an end, as the impressive follow-up to flagship superphone Xperia Z arrives in the Philippines.

First announced at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the Xperia Tablet Z sets a new standard for tablets by packing in superb specs and impressive firsts in the market. The world’s slimmest tablet at only 6.9mm, Xperia’s newest tablet  features a premium design that showcases the same stunning OmniBalance design as its smartphone sibling Xperia Z. Available in Black or White and in LTE and WiFi versions, it is also the world’s lightest tablet, weighing in at under 500g.

The precision-engineered Xperia Tablet Z also has the highest levels of water resistance (IP55 & IP57) ever delivered in a tablet, making it immune to accidental spills and splashes.

Promising rich and stunning viewing, audio, and photo-capturing experiences, the Tablet Z features a 10.1 inch HD reality display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, 3D surround sound technology with four 3D speakers and Clear Audio+ mode, and an 8-megapixel fast capture HD camera.

It also presents an extensive range of entertainment possibilities, with convenient media applications such Sony’s signature Walkman, Movies, and Album apps. Additionally, with new levels of NFC-enabled One-touch functions incorporated into the Xperia Tablet Z, users can connect their device to their home entertainment system, or other paired accessories while on the go.

Arriving first is the all-new premium HD tablet’s WiFI + LTE (P35,990) version, followed by its  WiFi-only counterpart (P29,990) in August, both with 16GB capacities.

The Xperia concept stores are at  Glorietta, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Midtown, SM Fairview, SM Marikina, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, SM Sta. Mesa, SM Bacoor, SM Baguio, SM Batangas, SM Dasmarinas and SM San Fernando,  Ayala Center Cebu, and SM Cebu, Abreeza Davao, Gaisano Mall Davao, and SM General Santos City.
