City Savor Holiday foodie festival coming to Makati, Ortigas and BGC

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) hosts “City Savor” foodie bazaar in its residential developments, namely The Sapphire Bloc in Ortigas (Dec. 5), Signa Designer Residences in Makati (Dec. 12), and The Trion Towers in Bonifacio Global City (Dec. 19). The culinary event will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

“Robinsons Land Corp. wanted to mount weekly food events in December for the residents of its condominium developments as well as for the city dwellers in the areas,” says Samantha Zaragosa from Ampersand Collective, RLC’s PR and marketing partner for City Savor. “To make Christmas mean more, we felt that creating a holiday food crawl like no other is something people will look forward to. It’s more than just a food market. It includes entertainment to make the feasting all the more enjoyable.”

The participating concessionaires include El Chupacabra, Mac & Jac, Bald Baker, Baguettini, Chef Adrian Cuenca, Baits, Sabao, Bag Wings, Hillside Cafe, Global Beer Exchange, Buccino’s Ice Cream Experiments, Earth Desserts, Saddam’s Shawarma, Boom’s Cold Brew Coffee, Liquido Maestro, Jertie’s Kitchen, Karnitas Korner, The Juice Stand, Truck Bun, Juice Bar, ChocoATBP, Pipino Vegetarian, Snow Shack and Cannoli and Co, among others.

“As a community event that brings together foodies and their love for holiday feasting, the invited merchants are among the up-and-coming names from all over the metro,” Zaragosa explains. “They generally have a growing following on social media and are not too commercial to give the event a fresh take on food markets. City Savor aims to complement this by bringing other great food from other culinary hubs into the neighborhood.”

The Sapphire Bloc in the Ortigas CBD gives residents and urbanites a taste of the authentic city lifestyle. The Art Deco-style development is also known for its very own lifestyle hub that features various artisan restaurants like the Moonshine Public Urban Bar (PUB), The Stockpile, Cable Car, Sobremesa and Starbucks Reserve, to name a few.

The Trion Towers alters the BGC skyline with its state-of-the-art, tri-axial architectural design that allows all units privacy, good quality daylight, natural ventilation and multiple views of the city.

For the Signa Designer Residences in Makati, the high life is savored at the upscale gastronomic locale of Salcedo Village. The luxury condominium adds color and taste to the hub with its own resto strip comprised of Mothership FandB Enterprise artisan restaurants like Sabao, Baits and Sprout, as well as a Starbucks Reserve.

“The event is meaningful to the target market and has minimum or zero competition for the product type to maximize foot traffic per stall. We expect that it won’t only be good business for the food establishments, but also elicit high recall or catering requests.”

At City Savor, good food will be accompanied by entertainment. Residents of the RLC developments and guests will be serenaded by up-and-coming bands like Keiko Necesario (Dec. 5 at The Sapphire Bloc and Dec. 19 at The Trion Towers), Toni B (Dec. 5 at The Sapphire Bloc and Dec. 12 at Signa Designer Residences) and the Hoochie Coochie Mikkie (Dec. 12 at Signa Designer Residences and Dec. 19 at The Trion Towers).

“The weekends of December mean get-togethers for us Pinoys,” said Zaragosa. “On behalf of Robinsons Land Corp., we’re glad to be able to offer a venue that brings together awesome food and entertainment all in one place. We’re about to redefine what holiday feasting is all about.”
