The Ramp Crossings goes Mod and modern

-

MANILA, Philippines - The Ramp Crossings made its Philippine Fashion Week debut with “A Mixology of Style” bringing high fashion to the streets, taking cues from fresh-off-the-runway trends and translating them into a versatile lineup of on-trend, easy-to-layer pieces.

The Ramp, the store’s namesake brand, opened the show with blanc and noir ensembles featuring modern and sophisticated interpretations of the classic tuxedo, followed by a series of chic boardroom pieces. Rich holiday looks also sparkled on the runway, with The Ramp’s anthology of draped maxi and halter-cut dresses with high thigh splits, glitzy short dresses and cowl-neck ruched dresses. Also seen on the catwalk was the reptile look, amped up to a new level of superlative chic with a lineup of faux snakeskin mini-dresses, jersey cropped pants, full-on reptile print shirtdresses and caped dresses.

Menswear brand Mundo followed suit, paying tribute to desert dune dressing with blazers and jackets in sandy hues and crisp white linens. Next up was The Ramp Kids, showcasing a welcome assortment of fun offerings for kids, comprised of knit dresses, ponchos, vests and striped cardigans.

As a finale, The Ramp a preview of spring 2012’s hottest trends, baring a chic display of pencil skirts made of cut and sew lace fabric, dresses and button-up tops — all in mustard hues reminiscent of the Mod era. Paired with snakeskin peep-toe heels, mules and black flatforms by Possibility, the result was an eye-catching teaser of the fashionable season to come.

Welcoming the guests were The Ramp’s vice president Presy Ramos and general manager Xandra Ramos-Padilla, together with designer for The Ramp Kids Mikka Genito-Padua, and The Ramp designers Mario Barrientos and Macel Pangan.

The Ramp Crossings has branches in Shangri-La Plaza, TriNoma, Quezon Ave. and Glorietta. For updates on promos and events, visit the official Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/therampcrossings.
