Wedding Essentials’ bubbly ‘Big 10’ bash

K. Montinola - The Philippine Star

Wedding Essentials Magazine hit their 10th anniversary Wednesday, which was a solid enough reason to break out the Moët et Chandon. The bridal magazine threw itself a birthday bash together with the prominent champagne house, keeping the evening light and bubbly.

Editor-in-Chief Kitten Zapata kept things short and sweet with a brief address, after guests enjoyed a dinner catered by Josiah’s and a serenade by a ten-string orchestra.

“In this issue, our Big Ten issue, we pay tribute to our roots. I would like to acknowledge my founding Editor-in-Chief, Marbee Go — because of her vision, Wedding Essentials is now on its 10th year.”

Wedding Essential’s “Big 10” issue hits the stands this month, featuring Vanessa Matsunaga. A video of the making of the cover was shown at the anniversary party to kick off the evening, and 10 fantastic raffle prizes were drawn out.

The WE family appeared thrilled to have been around to hit their 10-year milestone, enjoying the various photo walls as much as the guests did, before jumping right back into work the next day. The Blue Leaf Pavilion was made up to befit both the magazine’s thrust and its partnership with ‘gold standard’ Moët et Chandon — there were more than one champagne bottle installations that were irresistible photo ops for all.

“And of course we would like to dedicate this to all of you,” the Editor-in-Chief concluded, to an audience of partners, suppliers, and media party guests. “Because without you none of this would have been possible.”

We’re just glad to partake of the bubbly.
