'Gusto ko pointy nose': Jessy Mendiola admits wanting Rhinoplasty
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Jessy Mendiola revealed she once wanted to have her nose done.
The actress sat down for a lie detector test as part of her segment at the recently concluded Watsons Health Expo 2024 in SM Megamall. She is the newest brand ambassador for Health Fusion's multivitamin gummies Beauty Bunny.
One of the questions was if she ever thought of getting cosmetic surgery.
Without hesitating, Jessy said she did and the lie detector machine confirmed she was telling the truth.
"I think nose before, but I was younger, way younger. Hindi pa ako nagda-dalaga noon. I was like... 'Gusto ko ng mas pointy na nose,' and then I grew up. Nawala na 'yung idea na 'yun," shared the actress.
Jessy also changed how her perception of beauty has changed over the years, especially when she grew into maturity and now that she is married and is a mother herself.
She said that among the realizations she had about beauty was that it changes over time.
"We have to admit that the only constant is change. A lot of things have changed. I always remind myself to accept myself in whatever season I'm in — from singlehood to getting married to Luis (Manzano) to motherhood. Talagang mag-iiba talaga, your career, skin, body, mindset, priorities, goals in life.
"You just have to accept the change in your life, the season you are in and then that's when you start working on yourself. It makes everything easier kapag tanggap mo na din na, 'This is my life from now on,'" Jessy said. — Video by Kathleen A. Llemit, editing by Martin Ramos
