Sandara Park joins Apl.de.ap at Black Eyed Peas concert
MANILA, Philippines — Korean singer Sandara Park joined Filipino-American rapper Apl.dep.ap onstage during the latter's sold-out concert with the Black Eyed Peas in Paris, France.
The Black Eyed Peas were performing at Paris' La Defense Arena when Sandara appeared as a special guest to perform with Apl.dep.ap their recent collaboration "2 Proud."
Both artists commemorated the performance by posting photos on their respective social media accounts, with Sandara saying the two were "Pinoy at heart" as she gifted Apl.dep.ap a signed copy of her namesake extended play.
The Black Eyed Peas is currently composed of Apl.de.ap, Will.i.am, and Taboo (whose wife is Filipina), and are joined on tour by Filipino-American singer J. Rey Soul.
On Apl.dep.ap's post about the concert, Sandara commented, "Congratulations for your super successful show last night!!! It was really really amazing!!! Thank you for making me a part of it," saying something similar on the post by the Black Eyed Peas.
"To have been able to connect for the first time was a kind of magic. Sandara was amazing on this track," said Apl.dep.ap after "2 Proud" was released. "The song is a bit of a departure from a lot of what you’d expect from a Black Eyed Peas’ member, but I listen to a lot of different kinds of music."
Just earlier this month, Sandara accompanied her fellow 2NE1 member Minzy around the country, including a Batangas resort co-owned by John Prats and Isabel Oli.
The singer is set to appear in "Running Man Philippines" Season 2, as will other Korean artists Nancy McDonie formerly of Momoland, rapper Haha, and girl group Unis' Filipino members Gehlee and Elisia.
