Single mom crowned 2018 Miss Global Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — Mary Eileen Palencia Gonzales (center) was crowned 2018 Miss Global Philippines by outgoing queen Mary Ann Mungcal recently at Cove Manila in Okada. 

She pocketed P300,000 cash, P300,000 worth of sponsor’s gifts and will represent our country in the Miss Global pageant (venue and date still to be announced). She was also named Best in Evening Gown and Darling of the Press.

A former Star Magic talent, Gonzales is a single mom to a year-old boy. She was second runner-up to Candice Ramos in the same pageant in 2015 and competed in the 2015 Face of Beauty International held in Taiwan.
