MANILA, Philippines — After trending on Twitter for her karaoke version of Britney Spears’ “Sometimes,” it was time for “Phenomenal Star” Maine Mendoza to be entertained by a fellow performer.

The “Eat Bulaga!” host could not contain her excitement after seeing Taiwanese-American star Vanness Wu’s version of “Karma is a bitch” trending memes.

In a post on her Twitter account, Maine shared Vanness’ video, where he can be seen doing the “Karma is a bitch” challenge, ending up with a long hair to look like his famous “Meteor Garden” character, Mei Zuo.

“Loooool I did not see this coming!!!!” Maine said in the caption.

“Karma is a bitch” is a video meme wherein you appear as a regular person then with a quick change, you suddenly appear like someone entirely different.

The meme is believed to have originated from “Karma’s a bitch,” a line from “Riverdale” said by Veronica Lodge, portrayed by Camila Mendes in the Archie Comics-inspired series.

In the video that captured Maine’s attention, Vanness can be seen having a selfie video with a presently short hairstyle, then right after uttering “Karma is a bitch,” he instantly transformed as Mei Zuo, his character in the hit TV series “Meteor Garden.”

Wu’s version went viral, making reports claim that it revived the “Meteor Garden” fever.

Netizens commented on Maine’s post, saying that she needed to do her own version of Vanness’ post.

Netizen @menggalurks commented: “DUBSMASH QUEEN’S OWN VERSION, PLS? Baka naman,” to which the actress replied: “There has to be one.”
