AlDub to have first 'date' on Saturday

MANILA, Philippines - Finally.
In the "Kalyeserye" segment of GMA-7's noontime show "Eat Bulaga" on Thursday, September 17, it was revealed that Alden and Yaya Dub, played by Maine Mendoza, will have their first date.
This is after Lola Nidora, played by Wally Bayola, allowed the two to have a date on Saturday, September 19.
"Pinapayagan ko kayong mag-date ni Alden," Lola Nidora said.
Before this, Alden and Yaya Dub were asked to play to matching game to check their compatibility. During the game, they were asked to choose between the following:
- Umuulan o Umaaraw? (Both chose 'umuulan')
- Jeep o LRT? (Alden chose jeep, Yaya Dub chose LRT)
- Beach o Park? (Both chose beach)
- Beatles o One Direction? (Alden chose Beatles, Yaya Dub chose One Direction)
- Adodo o Sinigang? (Both chose sinigang)
- Pancit o Spaghetti? (Both chose pancit)
- Church wedding o Beach wedding? (Both chose church wedding)
Their answers matched five out of seven times.
#ALDUBMaiDenForREAL, the hashtag for today's "Kalyeserye" segment, is a top trending topic on Twitter as of this writing with over two million tweets worldwide.
Alden and Yaya Dub have seen each other in previous Kalyeserye segments, both of which made Twitter history.
