Claudia Barretto: I want to be a singer

MANILA, Philippines – Claudia Barretto wants to take a different path in showbiz.

Unlike her sister Julia who is making her own name as an actress, Claudia wants to explore the world of music.

“I don’t think I want to be an actress. I want to explore the possibility of getting into music,” she said in an interview aired in “Bandila” on Wednesday.

Julia and their mom Marjorie said they’ll support whatever path she would like to take.

“You know kung ano naman gusto ng mga anak ko, whatever their dreams are, I’ll always be there to back them up,” Marjorie said.

However she quickly added that, “kung ako masusunod, ayoko na [siya mag-showbiz].”

As for the issue of her sister Julia with their dad Dennis Padilla, Claudia believes her sister doesn’t need her help anymore.

“She’s handling it so well. So I don’t think she needs my advice,” she said.

In a separate interview, Julia said she wants to settle her issue with dad Dennis “in closed doors.”
