At some point in the competition, Toni compared a candidate's earring to a "chandelier":

When Binibining 28 Hannah Ruth Sison, took the center stage for the Q&A:

Xian: Hello Hanna, welcome back

Toni: Wow, your earrings, has its own theme song. (Singing) "I’m gonna swing from the chandelier" (then held the contestant’s earrings).

She also mocked one of the judge's surname:

Toni to Binibining 25: I love your last name Rogelie Catacutan . But red might be your lucky color for tonight. Let’s see who you’re judge is. Oh Mr. Frederick Go, go.. go

Some said that the event turned into a comedy and a noon time show:

While some loved the entertainment injected on the pageant.

Sarah Meier, one of the judges last night, commended Toni's hosting, calling her a "true entertainer."

KC Montero and Chokoleit also shared their admiration for over Toni's hosting skills.

Some Netizens came into Toni's defense, saying that the reason why Toni  was throwing punchlines was to remove the candidates' tension.

But, it was Nina Ricci Alagao who got Toni's fans extremely irritated. On her Facebook account, the 2002 pageant title holder made a nasty remark regarding Toni's hosting, even posting harsh comments about the physique of Toni Gonzaga 15 years ago.

Meanwhile, Alagao has already deleted the post and has replaced it with an apologetic one.
