Chito Miranda, Neri Naig tie the knot

MANILA, Philippines - Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda and actress Neri Naig tied the knot in a civil ceremony on Saturday.

The two exchanged their wedding vows at a restaurant in a Taguig City, a day ahead of their announced Dec. 14 wedding.

On his Instagram account, Chito said the wedding today is the first of two ceremonies. They will hold a garden wedding on Dec. 14.

“Sa wakas...mag-asawa na kami!!!” he said on his Instagram account.

Chito proposed to Neri last May after being in a relationship for over two years.

Their relationship was put on the spotlight last year after Chito and Neri were involved in a sex video scandal.

In a interview with Philstar.com last November, Chito described his relationship with Neri as his “anchor.”

“Sa chaotic na mundo namin, it gives me an anchor to something I'm really comfortable with. This is what I want to do for the rest of my life, which is spend my life with her,” he told Philstar.com
