Martin Escudero enjoys doing rom-com, living as bachelor

MANILA, Philippines - Martin Escudero is enjoying doing comedy roles, a break from dramatic and daring roles that he took in his recent shows “Positive” and “Obsession.”

“Mas maluwag siya,” Martin replied when asked how it was doing romantic-comedy again. “Kasi computed dapat lahat sa drama, e. Walang relax na oras. Dito po kasi malalaro mo siya. Parang mas marami kang magagawa.”

He will be starring with Eula Caballero in TV5’s upcoming “Wattpad Presents: Just for a While,” where he plays the role of a restaurant called Chef Luke, who could recover from deep sadness because of his wife's passing.

Martin admits that he has once felt hopelessness in his life, just like his character.

“Lahat naman po tayo dumadaan sa time na may pinagdadaanan,” he said. “May experience ka sa buhay na akala mo ‘yon na ‘yong katapusan, na hindi mo na alam ang gagawin mo. Hindi lang naman sa love life, puwede sa career.”

Meanwhile, with his personal, the actor said he is in a stage where he can finally enjoy his bachelor life since he’s already done with the obligations to his family.

Martin admitted that he is now seeing someone from Batangas, but said that he is not yet taking it seriously since the girl is busy in college.

He was once linked with Kapatid talent Ritz Azul. He said he still loves Ritz, but only as a friend.
