Nadine Lustre graces 20th Maaga ang Pasko

MANILA, Philippines - Jollibee is having a jollier, happier early Christmas celebration with the star-studded launch of its 20th Maaga ang Pasko, the country’s biggest and longest annual toys and books donation drive. The campaign allows families to take part in spreading cheer and giving a smile to less fortunate kids.

Jollibee Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum endorser Nadine Lustre recently kicked off the campaign in North Luzon, with the food chain’s Mabalacat, Pampanga branch as the starting point. The event was an afternoon of fun, food, drinks and entertainment with Lumen Anima Chorale serenading the guests and members of the Jollibee Kids Club. Nadine rendered heartwarming songs like Maagang Pasko during the event.

After the joyous caroling, Nadine dropped her personal toys and books in the Maaga ang Pasko box, followed by the Jolly Toy Scouts members who went around to collect toys and books from customers who trooped to the event.

“I’m so happy to be part of the Jollibee family because my most cherished family moments were those times I spent with them enjoying meals together. I grew up with Jollibee, lahat ng birthday party naming magkakapatid ay sa Jollibee ginagawa. My mom used to work as a service crew during her college days kaya noon pa man ay may connection na kami sa Jollibee,” said Nadine.

Although busy with work, Nadine makes sure she finds time to bond with her family, especially now that she shares the latest Jollibee TV commercial for Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Yum with her daddy Dong. “At first, ninerbyos ako for him, sabi ko wait lang mag-aartista na rin daddy ko dahil makakasama ko s’ya sa commercial. Pero ng i-shoot na namin ay maraming natuwa dahil hindi sya nahirapan sa part nya. Ang ganda ng feedback ng commercial, salamat po sa inyong lahat,” added Nadine.

For daddy Dong, joining his daughter in the commercial was both an honor and privilege considering he never thought it would happen to him, “During our shoot, marami akong na-kain na burger, 20 takes kaya naparami ang nakain ko, si Nadine maybe three ang naubos n’ya. Overwhelming experience and thank you to Jollibee for the opportunity.”

After the success of the movies Diary ng Panget and Talk Back and You’re Dead and now making more buzz with the TV series Wansapanataym’s My App #Boyfie, Nadine’s loveteam with James Reid (also known as JaDine) will be seen anew on their third movie together and a teleserye with ABS-CBN. Nadine will also start touring malls to promote her self-titled album.

The Maaga ang Pasko donation drive was formally launched at Jollibee Greenmeadows, Quezon City. As an advance thank-you gesture to its donors, Jollibee treated them to an affair with The Voice Kids winners and latest Jollibee Kids Club endorsers Lyca Gairanod, Darlene Vibares and Juan Karlos Labajo.

To mark the campaign’s milestone of reaching its 20th year, Jollibee will be holding a record of 20 caravans across the country in December. It will distribute the toys and books collected from customers and JFC employees to select beneficiaries.

Make this year’s Christmas season the jolliest ever for children across the nation by donating new or pre-loved toys and books to Maaga ang Pasko boxes located in all Jollibee stores nationwide. To make an online donation, visit www.jollibee.com.ph and click on the Maaga ang Pasko microsite.
