Rachelle Ann sings In Your Eyes theme song

Rachelle Ann Go gives a heartfelt rendition of In Your Eyes for the soundtrack of the romantic melodrama of the same title from Viva Communications and GMA Films. The George Benson pop classic from the early ‘80s is the theme of the movie that marks the much-awaited reunion of ex real and reel lovers Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez. The two figure in a love triangle with the lovely star of films and television, Claudine Barretto.

The girls play sisters, whose love for each other is tested when they fall in love with the same man. And as per the interesting trailer, Richard is the lucky guy who goes from one bed to another. It will be Rachelle Ann’s singing that will enhance the steamy love scenes and tearful confrontations. These as per director Mac Alejandre, are quiet and very real.

In Your Eyes is but one of several interesting developments in Rachelle Ann’s career this year. There was her move from ABS-CBN to GMA 7, a coming home of sorts because it was in GMA 7 where she was discovered in the Search For A Star. She won the Grand Prize and became one of the few truly successful winners of a reality talent show.

Rachelle Ann scored with a hit on her first time out Don’t Cry Out Loud plus others through the years like From The Start, Bakit, I Care, Don’t Say Goodbye, Alam Ng Ating Mga Puso, You And Me (We Wanted It All) with Christian Bautista and others. She is now into serious acting as evidenced by her recent appearance in the Diva series as a troubled young singer. She is now also at work on a new album that will include her original composition.

She remains active in the concert scene and is at present on tour in Love Rocks in the US and Canada with Journey frontman Arnel Pineda and the Ammo Band. Rachelle Ann and Arnel hit it off so well in the local shows they have done that it was decided they take their act on tour. This series is very special as Arnel has earmarked earnings from this for his Arnel Pineda Foundation, Inc. Street School Project which benefits, out of school kids in the Philippines.

They kicked off the tour last Saturday, July 3 at the Peppermill Resort Casino in Reno Nevada. Next on tap are the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California on July 10; the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, July 17; the Centre For Performing Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia where they will be joined by Pinoy Buzz host Janice Lozano, July 18; the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary, Alberta, July 23; the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, July 25; and the John W.H. Bassett Theatre in Toronto, Ontario.

In Your Eyes comes on the heels of other romantic songs in Rachelle Ann’s Falling In Love CD. One of her best recordings ever, the album is made up of the swoony oldies If, Of All The Things, I’ll Always Love You, Somebody Waiting, I Got Caught Dancing Again, If You Don’t Know Me By Now, Didn’t We, Feelings, Let The Pain Remain, Traces, This Time I’ll Be Sweeter, You And Me Against The World, You And I and All The Things You Are.
