The best of Sarah

Sarah Geronimo is tickled pink to know that Maricel Soriano herself predicts a bright future for her in show business.
"Nagagalingan ako sa kanya," said the multi-awarded actress, who plays Sarahs aunt in Viva Films Metro Manila filmfest entry, Filipinas, where the latter plays the daughter Richard Gomez leaves behind when he and his three other children migrate to the US.
"That girl will go far. Shes only 14, right? For someone like Sarah na first time mag-pelikula, mahusay siya. Bibilib ka sa kanya. Maaaring ang ibang tao may iba pang expectations sa kanya, but for me, okay na okay siya," Maricel said.
She also recalled a time while shooting Filipinas when she and the rest of the cast Richard, Dawn Zulueta, Armida Siguion-Reyna, Victor Neri, Aiko Melendez and Raymond Bagatsing, among others requested the Star for a Night sensation to sing a tune, a cappella.
"Napanganga kaming lahat sa kanya. Her voice sounds as if its accompanied by a musical instrument. Nakakatuwa talaga si Sarah. Shes really very nice at very gifted pa," said Maricel.
Among the cast, Sarah also gets the chance to shine brightest in the Filipinas trailer, which shows her "moment" with her supposed comebacking dad, Richard.
The particular dramatic scene displayed Sarahs strong promise as an actress.
"Hindi naman po," the young singer said. "I was carried away in that scene with Richard. Tinatanong ko kasi siya doon sa scene kung bakit niya ako kinailangang iwan, kaya super drama at iyak ang ginawa namin. Nung una, siyempre nerbyos na nerbyos po ako nang kukunan yung eksena but thanks to Direk Joel Lamangan at sa lahat ng co-stars ko, naging very supportive sila sa akin at binigyan nila ako ng pointers para mabigay ko yung tamang emotion sa scene na yon. I hope fans will like our filmfest entry.
Aside from Filipinas, Sarah is seen in yet another MMFF entry, Premiere Productions Captain Barbell and soon in the Jolina Magdangal starrer, Annie B.
