Explore, connect & play with new Acer smartphones

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - There used to be two types of mobile phones  the smartphone and the feature phone, where one is all work and the other is all play. Mobile communication has become a vast playground where the best of both worlds blend into one powerful device  and no one is complaining.

Acer Philippines pushed this reality to the spotlight when it introduced its latest batch of smartphones with the unique campaign theme “Let’s Play Together!” where the event emulated RPG or manga backdrops and labels.

The event was all about the experience, having fun, exploring further, being connected, playing together, and thinking out-of-the-box like you did as a child. It builds on the principle that when you play, you become better, you discover things, you start new friendships, and you expand your world.

Acer’s latest touch products are the smartphones Liquid C1, E1 and Z2. C1 enjoys great speed with an Intel Atom processor (the first one in the market) that used to be found only on notebooks and netbooks, and hyper threading technology.

Its graphics engine provides richer gaming and video experience, supported by its DTS surround sound output and full HD display.

Boasting data connection of up to 21Mbps, this smartphone is, indeed, fast. Operating on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS, it has an 8-MP auto-focus rear camera, a VGA front camera, a qHD IPS screen, 1GB RAM, and 4GB ROM. It also supports A-GPS with loads of sensors on board.

The E1 has almost the same functions and configuration but runs on a more advanced Android OS, the Jelly Bean, and sports dual-SIM capability. It also has a 1GHz dual-core processor, 5-MP dual cameras, dual speakers with DTS support, and a 4.5-inch qHD IPS screen.

The Z2 is the smallest of the three, but not the least powerful, with a 1GHz processor, a 5-MP camera, a 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM, and runs on Android Jelly Bean.

Packed with features similar to the first two, the Z2 also has Quick Mode, a feature phone simulator for the not-so-tech-savvy. People who want to jump into the world of fun can adapt easily to the new environment.

All three smartphones are different and the same. They have varied functionality catering to various users, but their goals are the same: play to be better, learn more, know who you are, and be connected to what you value most.

As Acer Philippines general manager Manuel Wong said, “Something fun, interesting and exciting will unfold as we bring you Acer’s latest line of smartphones designed to keep us connected to the things we value most — relationships, work and fun. Such is part of Acer’s continuous effort and commitment to create tools that will bring technology to a more relevant and personal use.”

“Our latest smartphones complete Acer’s lineup of touch products. Together with our tablets, notebooks, ultrabooks, and desktops, consumers now have more and better ways to explore, connect and play,” Wong added.
