Maintaining medical equipment in hospitals, clinics

-

MANILA, Philippines -  If a hospital’s high precision medical equipment broke down while a patient undergoes critical surgery in the operating room, what could possibly happen? Most likely the operation would be aborted, or worse, the patient’s life could be lost.

“But that’s a scenario we wouldn’t want to happen,” said Ralph Ante, president of HealthSolutions Enterprises (HSE), the country’s only total health care solutions provider engaged in the importation, distribution and sales of the world’s top-of-the-line medical equipment, devices, clinical diagnostics and supplies.

“No hospital, big or small, should bear unsuccessful operations because of malfunctioning medical equipment. Not to mention the downtimes that would follow,” Ante said.

Ante explained that for every piece of medical equipment purchased from HSE, a hospital/clinic customer is entitled to round-the-clock hotline service.

“Upon receiving your call via our hotline, we will come and check, repair or maintain your high precision medical equipment without delay, especially during emergencies. What makes this service unique is our partnership with communications technology pioneer Snaptech,” Ante said.

From the time the system was launched early this year, HSE has received inquiries and calls for immediate repairs. “We’ve had many instances where our service engineers responded without delay to repair damaged equipment,” said Ante.

“Every medical device bought from HSE has the support of a team of engineers and experts who will take immediate action upon receiving customer calls at any time day or night. Our service engineers are constantly trained abroad to update their technical know-how,” Ante said.

A subsidiary of holdings firm Tao Corp., HSE has partnered with the world’s top manufacturers like GE Healthcare (US), Siemens (Germany), BARD (US), Arkray (Japan), Medela (Switzerland), Wuhan (China), Mediprema (France), Zoll (US) and other noted brands of hospital equipment.

Snaptech, which handles all HSE calls, is a pioneering communications technology company that provides GPS tracking, fixed asset monitoring, wireless remote sensing and monitoring and managed services.

“With this partnership, we now have the most advanced call handling system among medical devices and solutions providers in the Philippines,” said Ante. “We provide 24-hour, seven-day after-sales service and technical support for all medical equipment and devices bought from the company.”

Ante said HSE’s partnership with hospitals and clinics go far beyond the point of purchase. “We understand that most of the equipment bought from our company are multimillion-peso investments that need to be taken care of,” he said.

To experience HSE’s new customer service system, clients may now call the hotline (02) 836-5853 for all after-sales concerns and servicing requirements.
