Making new memories at The Magnolia

-

MANILA, Philippines - “Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us,” said the late author, poet and playwright Oscar Wilde.

Memories, good or bad, make each of us unique, and provide continuity to our lives. No two people, even twins, have the same memories. Even people who grew up together remember things differently.

But those who were teenagers or older in the 1980s and lived in Quezon City probably share one common memory: Magnolia Ice Cream House at the corner Aurora Boulevard and Dona Hemady Street. From colegialas hoping to catch a glimpse of their

crushes from La Salle Greenhills to families enjoying a weekend treat, everybody and anybody loved Magnolia. Black and White, Choo Choo Train and Banana Split are only among the ice cream creations that we will never forget.

Robinsons Land Corporation, one of the country’s premiere real estate developers, will build The Magnolia Residences in the same area where the ice cream house once was, hoping to provide a place for individuals and families to relive old memories and, of course, create new ones. The four-tower residential high-rise development will be located at the corner of Calle N. Domingo and Dona Hemady Streets and is just two minutes away from Aurora Boulevard on foot.

The Magnolia Residences is seen to appeal to professionals who have always lived in Quezon City or young couples who live with their parents near the area and now want to have their own place.

Its strategic location makes The Magnolia Residences very appealing as it provides easy access to major modes of transportation and is near key urban hubs, schools and hospitals.

The residences will be part of the master-planned Magnolia Town Square, a self-contained development with a specialty mall. Among the tenants of the mall will be in-house brands Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarket and Handyman Do-It-Best.

Just like families savoring a Sunday merienda at Magnolia Ice Cream House, the future residents of The Magnolia Residences can enjoy shopping trips to the mall, walks, and picnics on the gardens and spend quality time with family members at the swimming pools or in their units.

Working parents will not find it difficult to go to and from work because of the development’s accessibility to modes of transportation, thus avoiding the problem of mothers and fathers and their children seeing each other only during the weekends even though they live under one roof. If the mother works, say, in Ortigas Center, and she gets off work at 6 p.m., she can be home at 7 and still have dinner with the kids.

The Magnolia Residences Model Unit is located at the Robinsons Land Grand Showroom in Robinsons Galleria and is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm.
