Worldbex talks

An impressive line-up of international experts on building and construction has been tapped for the 4th Worldbex Seminars 2002, one of the main highlights of the 7th staging of the Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition (Worldbex 2002).

According to Worldbex founding chairman Joseph Ang, the seminar will expose our local professionals on the latest development in the area of technology transfer, newly-developed construction materials as well as building construction techniques.

"In terms of value added, the seminar will go a long way in upgrading the capabilities of the local construction industry into world-class levels," Ang added.

Scheduled from March 14 to 15 at the Skyline Restaurant of the World Trade Center in Pasay City, the Worldbex Seminars 2002 is the most awaited seminar series in the global building and construction industry.

The line up of speakers include Vicente Laza of the Philippines who will present a paper on Project Financing Solutions: The LGU Bond; Mr. Graham Daines of Singapore who will share his expertise on the topic Tall Buildings in Steel – Are They Still Safe; and Chee Kok Weng who is the authority in Design and Construction of Affordable Housing in Singapore.

Others who confirmed their presence are Dr. Ken Yeang of Malaysia to present a paper on the Ecological Design of Large Building and Sites; Andrew Moore, another Singaporean, who will explain to the delegates How an International Practice Offers a Global Perspective on Hospitality Design; and Keith May of New Zealand whose point of view on Reflective Foils and Its Benefits for Insulation in Tropical Countries is expected to benefit many.

The two-day seminar is open to architects, engineers, interior designers, purchasing managers, contractors, entrepreneurs, real estate developers, specifiers and all other construction trade professionals. Seminar attendees are entitled to certificate of attendance, seminar kit and snacks.
