A bright future

A night of celebration, fun and camaraderie among Dabawenyos took place as Davao Global Township (DGT) was launched at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City. A project of YHEST Realty and Development Corp. (YHEST) and a joint venture between leading VisMin developer Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) and the Yuson, Huang and Tan families of Davao’s Villa-Abrille clan, it is set for completion in 2022 and will include a corporate center, two premier residential towers, a retail strip with a cineplex, and outdoor retail spaces called the DGT Town Strip, as well as a civic center to be named the DGT Gallery. Phase 1 will also be an extensive 93,000 square meters of gross floor area de- signed by a global planning and design firm responsible for the revival of some downtown centers in the world. DGT, the first township development of CLI, is en- visioned to transform the former Davao Golf Club into an iconic central business district in Davao City that would host business process outsourcing and other firms. Seen in the noteworthy event are YHEST chair and CLI president and CEO Jose Soberano III and YHEST president and CWC International Corp. president Fred Yuson. What a bright future for Davao City, indeed!
