Shuvee and Anthony revisit first online exchange that started beautiful friendship

“Hi, ganda.”
“Hi, pogi.”
This was the first online exchange between GMA Sparkle artists Shuvee Etrata and Anthony Constantino, which eventually led to the beginning of their beautiful friendship.
Social media indubitably played a pivotal role in their first encounter. Anthony said he became a follower of Shuvee’s online platforms.
“When I followed her on social media, I felt like she’s so beautiful, and I couldn’t pass up (the chance) to see how beautiful she is on the inside, but then, of course, you know how Shuvee is — her personality is really pleasant,” said Anthony during his and Shuvee’s interview for “The Talk” segment of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
Shuvee, on the other hand, admitted to reposting videos of Anthony, a model and influencer, even before he signed with GMA as an artist. Shuvee further said that Anthony reacted to her posts by sending the message “Hi, ganda,” which she wittily answered with “Hi, pogi.”
“Until we saw each other,” Shuvee continued. “At nung nagkita na kami, that was the time I cleared my boundaries — that I’m not into playing, hindi ako pang madalian lang din. I told him that I wanna be valued and at the same time, I value courtship.”

Shuvee was also honest about telling Anthony of her responsibilities to her family. “I made it clear that I have eight siblings. So, (I told him) ‘If you’re willing to wait, then you can wait.’”
A year has passed, yet Anthony’s persistence hasn’t slowed down a bit. In fact, he’s been taking great care of Shuvee.
“I’m willing to wait because Shuvee is someone I’ve been praying for. When I first met her, I knew she’s someone that I’ve prayed for. A woman that I really value, and I honestly never met a woman like her before,” confessed Anthony.
Shuvee expressed her delight and exclaimed, “I feel so good! Sobrang nasa magandang chapter ako ng buhay ko.”
As for taking good care of Anthony, Shuvee believes they both care for each other. “I think it’s both ways naman. Perhaps, he wouldn’t stay long if I am not assuring him that this (courtship) will lead to something (beautiful). I just need time.”
Besides, Anthony recognizes that they are both carving out their own niche in the entertainment world. He, too, knows they need to be financially stable.

While Anthony has already met Shuvee’s family when he went to Bantayan Island in Cebu, Shuvee shared that she met Anthony’s family, including his grandmother, during her visit to Los Angeles.
“I’ve met his family. The first time I met his mom, she gave me a Bible. His mom is really, really nice. And all the family, even his grandmother. They are all so nice,” she narrated.
Anthony’s family, Shuvee added, was also happy to learn that Anthony had embraced the Filipino way of courting although he grew up in the US.
“They get kilig to know that Anthony learned to make ligaw, especially that his roots are Filipino and he never learned it in the US, and I told them that these are really my values. These are my principles, and I’m happy to share that Anthony is adjusting well in the Philippines,” said Shuvee, who stars with Anthony in “From Vlog to Love,” currently streaming on GMA Network YouTube Channel.
What is stopping Shuvee from being Anthony’s girlfriend?
“One thing, Tito Boy, na I really value time. Like, for example, what if sinagot ko siya, pero half of my time lang ang kaya kong ibigay dahil sa sobrang dami kong responsibilidad sa buhay? It’s not fair to him,” Shuvee answered.
Nonetheless, Anthony is determined to wait for Shuvee to reciprocate his love, no matter what. He consistently shows his good intentions without rushing the outcome.
