Jollibee opens 2nd Red Ribbon in Texas
MANILA, Philippines — Jollibee Foods Corp., the Filipino-owned global restaurant chain, continues with its expansion in North America, opening its first Red Ribbon Bakeshop with a drive-thru service in the US.
The new Red Ribbon outlet, which will cater to customers on the go, opened last Saturday in Texas. It also marks the brand’s second bakeshop in Houston and 36th in the US.
“We’re so excited to make our delicious baked goods more accessible to the Westheimer community through the opening of our first-ever drive-through amenity,” said Agnes Briones, business unit head, Red Ribbon Bakeshop Inc.
“We look forward to bringing this added convenience to both our fans and newcomers to our brand who are curious to try our signature cakes, pastries and other baked treats that make Red Ribbon so special and unique,” Briones said
The new Westheimer store also features a café-style setup for customers who want to experience in-store dining.
Some of the brand’s bestsellers in the US include the Mango Supreme Cake, Ube Overload Cake, Yema Caramel Cake, Butter Mamon, among others – all of which capture the brand’s unique cultural heritage and culinary roots.
Jollibee Foods Corp. acquired Red Ribbon in 2005.
To date, Red Ribbon has over 500 outlets all over the Philippines and more than 30 stores in the US.
Jollibee has been on a global expansion as it aims to become one of the top five restaurants in the world.
During the pandemic, it continuously opened and reopened stores for its different brands, not just in the Philippines but in different countries across the globe.
In all, Jollibee operates in 34 countries, with over 5,800 stores globally with branches in the Philippines, United States, Canada, the People’s Republic of China, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, Brunei, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, United þ??

It has eight wholly-owned brands (Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Smashburger); six franchised brands (Burger King, Panda Express, PHO24, and Yoshinoya in the Philippines; Dunkin’ and Tim Ho Wan in certain territories in China).
It also has 80 percent ownership of The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf; and 60 percent ownership in the SuperFoods Group that owns Highlands Coffee and PHO24.
