Cribs thanks Tanco for securing orphans’ future

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Infants nurtured by Cribs Foundation (CRIBS) can look forward to a better future, thanks to the unwavering support of companies under the helm of businessman Eusebio H. Tanco.

In December, Asian Terminals Inc., Tanco’s international port business, committed to finance the construction of CRIBS’ multistory baby facility through a P15.5 million donation.

This is on top of other charitable works by his growing business interests in the insurance, industrial, power, and academic spheres, supporting various non-government institutions.

“This is the greatest gift we could ever wish for as we strive to build a safer foster home for our babies. After a long wait, our dream project, one we so urgently need, finally comes to reality. The upgrade of our aging home will help more children in the decades to come,” Cribs chairperson Cristina Estrada said.

“We are deeply grateful for the support of Mr. Tanco and family whose involvement in Cribs spans many years of support for our mission,” Estrada added.

As for Tanco, it’s all about giving back to the community and investing in the Filipino youth.

“There is no better way in securing the future of our youth than through caring for them at their tender age and educating them during their learning stage,” Tanco said, who aside from CRIBS supports hundreds of scholars taking various degrees in leading academic institutions under his wings.

“Social responsibility is incumbent upon our companies. We believe that investing in our youth is the real game-changer, one that will define the future of our country,” he said.
