CEB wins best airline website

-

MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific (CEB) bested other airlines in the Digital Filipino Web Awards recently, when it was recognized as this year’s winner for the airline category.

The Digital Filipino Web Awards showcases Filipino-owned companies which have the best web presence in terms of their 1) website, 2) e-commerce engine, 3) online marketing and 4) social networking sites (SNS) engagement. The Digital Filipino group tracks and monitors these websites using metrics and measurable output to decide on the winners.

Criteria for this award are: search engine and social media visibility (40 percent), website traffic and stickiness (40 percent), and technical performance (20 percent).

“We are very happy to be recognized by the Digital Filipino for our online efforts, since Cebu Pacific has remained at the forefront of innovative marketing and e-commerce in the Philippines. Our passengers can look forward to even more convenient features on www.cebupacificair.com and more prizes to be given away on our official Facebook and Twitter pages,” said CEB VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

Last year, it also partnered with agoda.com for easy hotel booking through the CEB website. CEB also introduced a payment center option that allows guests to book online and pay via partner banks.

“We also encourage everyone to join the CEB Club, which was relaunched last year. It is very convenient for passengers who book CEB tickets often since they will get to manage their bookings, track flights and receive early alerts on seat sales,” she added.

CEB Club members can store guest details, especially if they keep booking for family and friends, and payment details for a faster booking process. They can also view and print itinerary receipt, do web check-in and print a boarding pass, change or cancel bookings, add baggage allowance or travel insurance, and check flight status, among others.

Passengers may register at https://book.cebupacificair.com/Register.aspx.

CEB was the first to introduce e-ticketing, web check-in, self check-in, Lite Fares and seat selection in the Philippines.

For bookings and inquiries, guests can go to www.cebupacificair.com, or call the reservation hotlines (02) 7020-888 or (032) 230-8888. The latest seat sales and promos can also be found on CEB’s official Twitter and Facebook pages.

CEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 20 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. Its fleet of 38 aircraft - with an average age of 3.6 years - is one of the most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 22 more Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders, and 2 Airbus A320 aircraft on operating lease agreements.
